A Curator’s Guide for Success Through Surveys
Ebook Coming December 2024
This open source guide is designed to equip curators with practical tools and strategies for utilizing surveys as a tool to enhance their curatorial practice. The information gathered through surveys can leverage grant applications by providing evidence of audience engagement and impact of your work as a curator. Understanding and engaging with your audience through data-driven insights can transform your approach and elevate the impact of your work while also securing partnerships, sponsorships, grants, etc.
The handbook will include real-world examples of my own experience developing a survey, implementing it into exhibition design, creating an incentive (e.g by partnering with TreeCanada, a tree is planted for each survey taken at the Contemplating Glaciers - A Dialogue art exhibition) and finally, how to measure the data and effectively write about it.
